Why We Built This Site
Michigan gives the public broad access to court records. The hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want. The Macomb County Clerk / Register of Deeds serves as Clerk of the 16th Judicial Circuit Court, so felony, domestic, and higher civil cases are filed there, along with marriage and other vital records. The county's district courts handle misdemeanors, traffic, landlord-tenant, and small claims for the cities and townships they serve. Probate Court runs estates, guardianships, and mental-health matters on its own docket. The Sheriff's Office manages the county jail and inmate lookup. Add the Prosecutor's Office and statewide systems like MiCOURT and MDOC OTIS, and the picture gets crowded fast. This site pulls the contact details, search portals, fee schedules, and request steps for each of these offices into one place.

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
